By the time law partners come to me to plan their sabbatical trip, they’ve already made the decision to go away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I know of many cases of lawyers who are approaching eligibility, or have already reached it, but can’t quite carve out the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career progression, schooling and closing deals are normally the key barriers cited. Then there’s the home admin, and the time required to plan a substantial trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The barriers are real, but not insurmountable. By identifying in advance the right time to take a few months off, committing to it with family and work, and getting the ball rolling early enough, the path to the time of your life can be relatively stress-free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
