Bordeaux was really good; it was scorching hot so we were very grateful that all the hotels were air-conditioned!

I thought both our guides were very good, knowledgeable and personable and we very much enjoyed exploring St E and Arcachon Bay and all the delicious seafood. The restaurant was really lovely too.

Chateau Haut-Bailly is really something else – can’t believe all the greenery growing over the buildings but also how modern the process of wine making is there with ipad control! It was also quite different to the other wineries we visited so it was really interesting.

 Really liked the Hotel Palais Gallien in Bordeaux – very central and great staff and thank you for the restaurant recommendations – we tried some of them in St E and Bordeaux and they were very good.

“The food at Balmoral was outstanding and the art at Fife Arms was so beyond awesome. They were A+. The Hot Toddy was a great meal and we got a kick out of the Kelpies, the Falkirk Wheel, and the Royal Yacht.

The Torridon was lovely and it was awesome to be able to walk right out to a spectacular mountain hike.

Monacyle Mohr was hilarious and fun. The farm tour with the owner really made the trip – he was hilarious and told us all about his family that owns it and took us all around and we got to pet the animals and see him do a sheep dog demo. It’s just a hilariously laid back place – they are very informal outside of dining – but this was an awesome sauna loche experience that I’d recommend. I’m glad you pushed us to do this hotel. It was quirky and fun.

Glasgow was surprisingly great. Alasdair showed us all around and we loved it!

Glenapp Castle was lovely. We were taken with the garden and the room in which Churchill planned D-day. We also enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner.”

“An incredible trip, fulfilled the brief completely to see the lesser-visited sites of the UK, covering England, Wales and ending in beautiful Scotland. Guides were outstanding and the food exceeded our expectations. The highlights were a flight over Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a helicopter trip over Anglesey and a surprise journey in a classic Bentley. Steve took great care to accommodate our aging limbs while still enabling us to see the most spectacular sights.”
